I'm 74 & in good health. I've always liked sleeping in multiple blankets even in the summer (with the help of a window A/C). I purchased a 60" X 80" 20 lb for my side of a split-king bed. I also ordered the duvet cover for it.I love it. Yes, it takes a little effort to move it around on you in bed, but wonderful when in place.In an effort to not have to wash the blanket or duvet as much, I use a sheet under it and a bedspread over it. I've washed the duvet cover 3 times so far and yes it's a bother putting it on. I watched a Youtube video to learn how to do it. (Turn it inside-out, place on the blanket, tie it on with the attached ties, reach in and grab the opposite side & turn it right side out with the blanket now attached and zip it closed.) I wouldn't recommend the fleece duvet. I think it would be too hot.I haven't washed the actual weighted blanket yet. I'll put another blanket or 2 in with it to help the balance in the spin cycle. I bet this would weight over 40 or 50 lbs wet. I could always put it in a perorated laundry basket and let it drain and hang it up.Yes, I'd buy it again.This was a soft, and good quality blanket. It is cooler on one side but that didn’t last too long for me. What I wanted is a cooling blanket that was light weight but not like a sheet. This was more like a thin blanket. It was super comfortable but I ended up heating up in the night. Will be a good blanket for winter for those who would like medium heat.My toddler hasn't slept through the night his whole life (our doing he was premature during the worst part of the pandemic and we didn't know how big of a mistake we were making when we rocked him to sleep half his life). He would wake up 2-3 times a night to have one of us lay with him until he fell back asleep. I was grasping at straws and ordered this blanket. We are on night 4 of sleeping through the night with the extra pressure. We are amazed!It’s made a world of difference in my sleep quality. I love how it feels heavy but doesn’t add heat of a heavier blanketHigh quality. No complaintsit's a good product but there is some false advertisement, product in no way does it keep you cool. I had to turn down the A/C to be able to sleep.My wife loves itIt has helped so much. Very well-made*Update: seller has contacted me 3 times bribing me to delete review. At this point it’s harassment. All 3 times I’ve reported it to Amazon but nothing is being done.The description of the blanket on Amazon is:“ Weighted Idea Weighted Blanket Calm 20 lbs 60''x80'' for 180-220lbs Individuals (100% Natural Cotton, Grey)”This blanket is NOT cotton, it is POLYESTER. See image attached.Also tiny shards of glass come out of it and get all over your bed, must be fun getting one of in your eyes.Ineffective communication from sellers and nobody including platform seem to care about lying. I just found funny that the seller updated the name of the product to not include “cotton” in description, but all of the other info still claims it is. Want the real deal? Save a bit more and get the real deal like Hush, Gravid etc. Want to pay cheap, you’ll get cheap.EDIT:An update on this review. I was sent an email from the company that provides this blanket stating that if I completed a review on this item that I would receive a free cover for it. Therefore, I immediately created a review and sent the company the proof that they requested. This review was created around July 19th, 2019, it is now August 29th and I have still not received anything from the company or any other form of communication. I am very disappointed that the company would not hold up their end of the deal. Even though my previous review still remains for the product, I would no longer recommend this certain company to my friends and family due to their customer service and marketing techniques.I received this blanket yesterday, and I am already in love with it. Where I live we are in the peak of our summer and it was very breathable. I fell right to sleep, and didn't wake up once throughout the night. I woke up feeling well-rested for the first time in a long time. I suffer from anxiety and I can see the weight helping greatly when my anxiety peaks. 100% would recommend this product to anyone! Love it!Purchased this for my boyfriend who moves a lot during sleep and wakes me up every time, (seriously, a lot!) and used it two nights so far and he’s really liking it since he can actually sleep soundly and he doesn’t wake me up! Love it! **photo is a queen mattress with 60”x80” 20lb weighted blanket with no cover on it, I layer the sheet, the weighted blanket, and then a duvet over top.Ps, I think washing this thing would be a nightmare. 20lbs plus water weight? That’s called a washing machine breaker. Probably best to wash by hand by soaking in a large laundry room sink.I bought the weighted blanket for my daughter and she loves it!The blanket is soft and and the weighted sensation is so comforting but doesn't make you too warm when you're laying under it. She has noticed that she is able to fall asleep faster and sleep deeper throughout the night. She highly recommends this product.Almost immediately after putting the blanket on, the bed was covered in what could be described as sand or grit. The small beads that fill the blanket seem to slowly leak out. There is no hole anywhere, and they just leak out from every part of the blanket. Having animals on the bed, and these beads sticking to their fur, I'd be worried what happens when they groom themselves and ingest them.
